I am trained and can provide breathing exercises and guided meditation. However, many of these things can be done on your own.
5 Tips for Relaxation #relax
1. Reach Out to a Friend- As Woody in Toy Story said, "you have a friend in me." It doesn't matter if you have only 5 minutes to chat with a friend on the phone, any contact with a good friend or family member can bring physical and mental responses from your body.
2. Exercise - If you don't frequently exercise, it is a good idea to start slowly. Luckily, the kind of exercise need for relaxation can be 5 minutes of stretching or a walk around your neighborhood.
3. Just breathe - You don't need to be an expert on breathing, as it coming naturally. What will help you relax is to sit some place comfortable and concentrate on deeply inhaling and exhaling.
4. Pet something - Even if you don't have a pet this works. You can take a stuffed animal, your spouses hair or a pet and the motion of petting will calm you.
5. Laugh - laughter is the best medicine is all about the physical relaxation benefits of laughing. You can laugh at a movie, play with someone you love or just watch short funny videos on social media. Just laugh.
